What a player to have in your team.. Bought him after 8 games in fut champs as he was needed to boost my chem, and what an incredible decision. I play 5-3-2 with everybody except my centre backs in the attack, with Modric being like a filter for my team. Everything was being processed by him in the attacking transition, providing with quality balls in every place I commanded him to do so. Very good pace for a CM, very nice shooting, godly passing, godly dribbling, brilliant defending, nice physicals (99 stam). To top it all of, the 5 star WF just makes the whole experience better. Definitely buy this card if it fits your team
5* WF makes your life more convenient!
Passing: Simply brilliant, be it short or long ball, you name it, he provides.
Dribbling: Silky smooth, his height combined with the agility and balance makes it a nightmare for the opponent to try and get the ball off him
Defending: He defends like a madman, cutting the passing lanes and making your defender's life a tad bit easier
Pace: Very nice, but nothing exceptional. Gets the job done.
Physical: Nothing more you can ask from a player with 99 stamina
Shooting: In the formation i'm playing it's very hard for him to get in a good shooting position, but managed to score two longshots on his weaker foot
Haven't played too many games with him but as of now I have not found any weakness in this card
So first of all, I should say that I am a huge Modrig fan in FIFA since I used his TOTY in FIFA 19 (what a card that was), so I just had to buy this card when it came out.
I used him as a CAM (chem style hunter) behind FB Reus and Gold Mbappe in a 4312 formation. the only instructions on him were to stay forward since I didn't want my formation to be a 442 when defending.
What I noticed first about Modric was his very good dribbling, he feels amazing on the ball and that really bringing him into great positions to shoot from. I also noticed him making some great runs in behind the defenders, often resulting in him being through on goal. Another great aspect about Modric is his shooting, he has good finishing and rarely missed shots for me. Even though WF isn't as noticeable as last year, his 5 star WF upgrade is a nice aspect about the card.
His passing obviously is great as well and he won't fail passes, often creating chances for Mbappe and Reus.
Now to the biggest Con of the card, which is the pace, which doesn't 100% fit the meta: Yes, you will notice it. Or at least the sprint speed, if you send him on a run, he will be easily caught by the very fast defenders most people use nowadays. But you really shouldn't let that turn you off too much, as his acceleration feels really good and his dribbling makes up for his sprint speed, at least if you give him the ball close to the opponents box.
I guess some of you might think about using him at cm/cdm with a shadow and I really could see him doing great there as well, he was often able to win back the ball for me, even at the CAM position.
All in all, I think that he's a very good card, especially given his current price (350k while Im writing this review) and might drop even more, given he's been out for only a few days.
